Wise Owl Private Day Nursery Scunthorpe

I would highly recommend Wise Owls to anybody.

We have had such a positive experience over the last three months our daughter has been at Wise Owl, the settling in process was very easy, both us, as parents, and our daughter are very well supported by staff at all times, we believe she has settled quickly and well and has formed lovely bonds with the staff and her peers! We have seen a lovely progression in our little one's development since she has been at Wise Owl, we would recommend them to any parent looking for a safe, fun and engaging home from home-like environment for their little one.

I'm not giving full stars because I think there is always room for improvement. Well done!

My daughter is all settled in now. She started in September 2022 and will definitely go to reception next year straight from this nursery. Great teachers, a great environment, and so many educational activities for the pupils. My daughter is still learning most of the things, and I have no doubt that by the time she starts reception, she will be ready for it. She learns new things every day and is becoming more confident when speaking English bit by bit. And oh, they have good and healthy home-cooked meals. Thanks to the staff for their commitment

My son has attended nursery since he was one, he is now three and in the preschool room. Our son has always been happy at Wise Owls but since the new management team were put in place earlier this year, we have seen a positive difference in both his experience and ours as parents. The new leader of the preschool room has been an amazing addition to the nursery, along with the rest of the team in preschool. They organise amazing activities for the children, my son always comes home talking about how he has been baking, cooking, crafting, looking for insects in the garden and learning new songs - there's so much he enjoys. In addition to the activities in nursery, the children are also taught about the world around them and the local community and they go on regular trips to the local care home, church and most recently to the museum to lay a wreath the children had made on Remembrance Day. The staff are engaging and they deserve recognition for developing a lovely environment for learning.

I highly do not recommend this place!

I used Kid’s Den (owned and run by Wise Owls) after-school club in Bottesford for the past school year. Wise Owl’s closed Kid’s Den on 8th July 2022, with immediate effect. Only messaging parents on an app at 7pm on a Friday night, leaving many parents (including myself) without childcare from the next working day. I and many other parents paid for July’s childcare a month in advance and as soon as parents started asking when our money would be refunded they closed the commenting on the post. When I messaged them privately asking when I would be refunded for the 2 weeks of childcare that hasn’t been provided. I received a vague message back advising it would be in “due course”. It is now over two weeks later and I’m still no closer to knowing when I will be getting my money back. I’ve called and messaged multiple times to either get no response to messages (even though they have been seen) or to be told by management that it will be in “due course”. I would definitely recommend this nursery. All my children have attended with my youngest still there. Wouldn’t consider anywhere else. Staff are amazing and the added bonus of been able to log on and view through the password-protected cameras, brings extra peace of mind.

Lovely friendly staff, very professional, always welcoming and there for help or support. They have helped my daughter to come on leaps and bounds. My daughter will miss this nursery when she leaves to go to school in September.

During the pandemic, the nursery has done a great job of keeping the children safe but still enabling them to have fun. The password-protected webcams are great for checking in on your child during the day. Especially, when going through that difficult phase of separation anxiety. The app allows you to see what your child has eaten. And if you have any concerns, you can message the nursery via the app and they get back to you really quickly.

My daughter absolutely loves attending. The staff are friendly and approachable and are always willing to help. I cannot thank them enough for helping my daughter to reach her EYFS targets. Highly recommended.

Wise Owl nursery is such a fantastic setting for children. My daughter loves it and can't wait to go every day. Throughout the pandemic, they have worked tirelessly to make sure cleanliness and the correct guidelines are adhered to as well as maintaining a high standard of care and attention to all children to make sure they're happy, safe and having fun! I can't recommend them enough. Password protected cameras for parents to check on our little ones and great rates for attendance and dinners. Love this nursery.

Fantastic nursery, my little girl has loved her 4 years at nursery and will continue to attend the nursery's holiday club. Lovely caring staff, fab setting and a happy smiling child at the end of the day!

My son has recently graduated from Wise Owl Nursery. He's got medical and behavioural problems however the amazing team took him under their wing and couldn't do anything more for him. I couldn't recommend this nursery any higher.
